Keke, I'm going jogging after I wake Deardear up. T_T He forgot to take his handphone after work on Friday and he was sick yesterday... So he has no alarm if I go out first... Hais.

Well, anyway, we went to Mustafa yesterday after Deardear was feeling better. We bought quite a few things...haha~ We love Mustafa!!!

Deardear bought a pair of Nike running shoes for me. Yeah! Finally I have a pair of running shoes again! ^.^v

Deardear also bought a running outfit for me~ A set of outfit from Reebok plus a Nike sports bra. Woot! Deardear rocks. =D

Ta-daa! After Deardear gave me my mystery gift, we came here for dinner~



I have always wanted to try the food here~ Finally, I get a chance! They had quite a wide variety of items, so many I wanna eat!!! We shall definitely come back here again~

We have arrived! There was quite a queue outside, so we went for a walk first~



Hmm... Got Wine & Dine cert leh~ The service was pretty good actually, the order takers had a PDA which they use to key in our orders and send it to the kitchen directly! I rarely see stuff like these at restuarants. Cool right? Haha, I am so suaku. =P

Yummy potato croquette which I finished by myself because Deardear doesn't care much for potato croquette...



Ready to dig in! We had the black pork sliced spicy ramen, one of the recommendations on the menu, but it was very average...

His sashimi plate~ He only liked the salmon, haha.. I really don't get the thing about salmon sashimi! Deardear said their salmon is very fresh here and fresh salmon tends to have a slight fragrant smell... Ummm.. OK... As long as you like it, just don't ask me to eat them again!

My pathetic sushi. I forgot the name but it's crabstick sushi. One of the few sushis that I actually eat.
But this is pathetic! And it wasn't very nice. I much prefer Ichiban's.
If the food is so tiny, please don't place it on a big plate.. That's all I can say.



All in all, we didn't really enjoy the meal as much as I thought we would. Hais.

Lunch break! Had a Yummy Chicken Burger~ =D

Recently, I have been doing a bit more OT after work.. And Deardear seemed to be rather unhappy about it... But...I have no choice what... Now the office only has 2 of us doing everything, while the sales are almost always not in the office. Even if they (namely, 'him') are in the office, also no use! No help at all! Cannot help to type out the booking, cannot help to listen to the phone calls...

More elaboration:

• When both of us are on the line, be it making a booking or problem solving, the phone is ringing off the hook, non-stop, HE won't even help to answer the phone! And he's doing NOTHING! Not on the line, not doing anything, just staring at his computer screen. WTF? It is seriously pissing me off.
• When she is busy with operation work and stuff, he comes and throw the carrier's booking at her and asks her to do the booking for the customer. WTF? You no hands to do it yourself?? She is busy enough as it is. It'll only take a few minutes of your 'PRECIOUS' time to do it lor.
• When she passes him documents for checking or what, he have to ask her for stuff which is ALREADY INSIDE the stuff she passed you. OPEN YOUR FUCKING EYES AND SEE PLS. Lazy to do things and lazy to even SEE? WTF?
• When customer complains that billing is wrong, he blames her. EH. People got pass you the documents to CHECK before YOU YOURSELF sign the invoice leh. Her fault?? WTF?

And there are many many more examples... Just lazy to put it all down. I just hope he fucking wakes up his idea soon... THINK about it. You won't earn ANYTHING if you don't have your CS. Because you fucking don't know anything.

So, been pretty busy lately... Exam just ended yesterday...I HOPE I can do well!!

Actually sometimes, I prefer staying at the office with Irene for company than going home.. Cos it's so sian. =(

Don't know leh, sometimes feel like I just don't belong..

Yesterday, I was feeling really down. I don't know why! I think it could be because of the stress of the exam today, combined with the stress at work.

Hais. Stress at work because of some stupid idiot. Some people just not auto. Not auto at all and they need to be scolded!!! Actually, it's not 'they', it's just 'him'. *shakes head*

Anyway, so Deardear took some time to try to cheer me up, but he kept calling me 'crazy', 'siao ah you!'. -.-" Are you trying to cheer me up or what?! Keke, but I know he doesn't mean it lah. I love how sweet you were yesterday, thank you Laogong~

Yesterday, after I fell asleep, Deardear went out to meet his buddy, Jimmy and later, they came back to our house together to chiong their Conquer Online together. So noisy lor!! *oops* Actually, they weren't noisy, it's just that I am a super duper light sleeper, so even a little bit of noise can wake me up... It sucks being a light sleeper.

Hmmm, Deardear has been playing this online game for years!

It makes me think of the time when I was playing Ragnarok Online. It has been SO many years... I started playing their open beta when I was around 17 or 18...and on and off, I kept playing for a few more years, until I started working full time. I've always had a love for RPG games, but so far, no other games can match up to my 'first love', Ragnarok Online. After Ragnarok, I've tried a few other games, but I always end up going back to Ragnarok, haha.

Once I started working full time, I realised, I simply have no more time for RPG games anymore, because they take up too much of my time. It saddens me that I no longer have the time for something which I love. But we all have to grow up sometimes... I'm simply too old and too tired to play my games after work, and my weekends are spent either with Deardear or studying. T_T

OMGWTF, I HAVE NO LIFE! =(

But boys being boys, they still have the time and the energy to play their game, and for that, I envy them. =(

Anyway, I'm having my first exam today for my first module... So scary!! It's been SO many years (actually only 2 years) since I've had an exam... So excited yet stressed! And my colleagues have been telling me to pass with flying colors.. It's difficult! I haven't passed with flying colors since my 1st year in poly! Wah lao eh...

Did I mention I'm stressed?

Keke, Eddie Murphy is soo funny in this show! His facial expressions are just priceless! He's good at acting robots. =X The storyline is pretty good, though some may say it's very exaggerated or etc, I have only one word to say. MOVIE.

I'm watching the Olympics while doing my assignment now.

I must say that China has really put in a lot of effort this time. Even the ushers that guide the athletes around are gorgeous!! And their clothes are so pretty!

And Michael Phelps has just won his 7th Olympic medal at this year's meet. And I think it's his 14th Olympic gold medal overall, correct me if I'm wrong.

What is he?!

Deardear commented that he's an alien. LOL.

If he was a Singaporean, he'd be a multi-millionaire already! Just look at the number of gold medals he's won...

But do you think that if Michael Phelps wasn't such an incredible Olympic champion, people would think he's uglier? =P

Anyway, no matter what, he is a legend.

Just thought I'd blog about this totally random conversation between me and Deardear.

We just had our dinner at Waraku and we were SO full!

I told Deardear that I'm very full to the power of 15! (don't know if there's any sign for that) He looked at my bloated tummy and declared that I looked like I was 5 months pregnant! WTH. =(

I pinched his fats and said he looked like he was 2 months pregnant!

Haha, both of us are so conscious of our tummy.

But we will never give up our quest for good food! Keke.

Oh! Oh! I just remembered that I had a REALLY weird nightmare the day before Deardear gave me my present.

(Coincidentally, he gave me the pressie on 08.08.08. Does that mean we'll HUAT?)

The nightmare goes like this:

Deardear brought me to dinner, I can't remember what restaurant though... After the dinner, he passed me my present. I was feeling so happy! I anxiously opened up the present and what I saw was a pair of gold gladiator sandals! Like, OMG. Bad OMG. I hate those gladiator sandals lor! Then I had to fake to like it, but actually my heart was sinking. I thought to myself (Aren't dreams amazing? You can even have your own thoughts!) "That was my surprise? I am so disappointed!"
Then he told me that the sandals cost like, $600 plus, with a big smile on his face. *FAINT*

I just couldn't shake the feeling of disappointment... So sad!

I am so glad that it was just a dream. When I relayed this to Deardear, he said he was also disappointed! How could I have thought that he'd have such bad taste?? That really cracked me up. LOL~

Heh, so I lied... I got a new blogskin!

I really like the colors, it was what caught my eye at first. Also, the simple layout attracted me too. =)

I did a little editing, added the left column, because I felt that to place everything in 1 single column, and leaving it blank on the left side looked kinda weird. It's working fine on my Firefox browser but if any of you encounter any problems on your Internet browser, please let me know and I'll try my best to solve it!

I also changed some of the font and made the blog title bigger! Hee.

I'm sure most of you would have already heard about this fiasco.

I was unaware of it, as I did not watch the opening ceremony and I was only concerned with the competition results. I was on my way home yesterday when I heard the radio DJs discussing this topic. It intrigued me.

I'm sure that I don't need to post up the whole story but the summary of it was, this cute 9 year old little girl by the name of Miaoke was performing 'Ode to Motherland' at the 2008 Beijing Olympics opening ceremony. And the world was captivated by her performance because she was so cute. But as it turns out, the song was pre-recorded. She was lip syncing. What was worse was that the song was not even sung by her! It was later found out that the original singer of the song was another 7 year old girl, by the name of Peiyi. The producers of the show deemed her not 'flawless enough' for the live performance but apparently, they thought her vocals were good enough.



Ok, first, I got to say, poor Peiyi. For someone who has crooked teeth like me, I'd totally understand her feelings.

In this screwed up society of ours, looks mean a lot. It is unfortunate that she had to experience this at such a young age. I'd have preferred her to find that out at an older age.

But I find all the hoo-haa over it a bit hypocritical.

It's just lip-syncing. So, they replaced the poor girl with a girl they deemed more suitable. Big deal?

Lots of professional singers do that too. They just didn't get found out. You may argue that at least they are the real singers of the songs, but do you really know that? There could be a 200-Pound Beauty story behind one of those singers too. A bit far-fetched lah, but you get my idea.

Yes, the producers were wrong to do that.

But have you ever thought of what you'd do if you were in their shoes?

Would you have done the same thing?

I think most people would have done what the producers did.

I mean, isn't it enough to win Olympic GOLD medals?
Do you still have to break every single (ok, I'm exaggerating, but still..) world record while doing it?
AND become the MOST decorated athlete in the world, on the way to breaking the world record of 7 Golds in one single Olympic meet. And despite being blinded by water in his goggles, he still won GOLD for the 200m butterfly race. Like, OMGWTFBBQ.
He's definitely one of the BEST athlete in the world right now and in history.
Kudos to him.

So's Tao Li. I mean, she's still so young and to have placed fifth in the Olympics is an incredible feat. I'm sure she is going to have a great future ahead of her.

I don't watch the MTV Video Music Awards, but she'll be performing at this year's VMA, so maybe I'll catch it online~ And hopefully, her performance this time around will be better than the 2007 VMA that everyone says was disastrous but I think it wasn't that bad lah..

Happy National Day!

So many stuff happening this weekend!

The Olympics game started yesterday and it's Singapore's birthday today!

I'm at Woodlands right now but still cannot go home because it's raining...

Tampopo / The Pump Room / Dreamerz

Deardear was working at Republic Plaza on Wednesday and he got off work earlier so I met him and we went to dinner at Tampopo at Liang Court. Hmmmm, we find it really average or maybe we just didn't order the right stuff?

After dinner, we went to The Pump Room with his cousin because I wanted to try their beer. Not too bad, nicer than those normal beers like Heineken or Tiger. It was pretty crowded as well and there was a live band too. Atmosphere not bad.

After Pump Room, his cousin brought us to this pub that he frequents at Boat Quay, Dreamerz Pub and opened a bottle of Martell. Eh...let's just say that me and Deardear didn't really enjoy that place, so it's unlikely that we'll go back again.

Waraku

After work ended, I met Deardear at City Hall and we made our way to the Singapore River where I got my present from him!!! Like, finally!! Hee. And I love it lots!! Super duper beautiful, thank you Laogong! Mystery solved!

After that, we went for dinner at Waraku @ Marina Sq~ We're so into Jap food recently~ And the dinner was great!

After our enjoyable dinner, we took the train back home but overslept and ended up at Buangkok with no train going back. So no choice, we have to take a cab back. But before taking the cab back, we went for grocery shopping at the 24 hrs NTUC Fairprice ~ Got to use my Linkpoints card for the first time. Haha. Fun fun~ Envy the people staying at Buangkok.

Just saw this news article on PITNB.

TMZ has learned that Academy Award winning actor Morgan Freeman, 71, has been injured in a serious car accident in Mississippi.

Cops tell us the "Dark Knight" star was in a one car accident around 11:30 PM last night north of the small town of Ruleville. He was airlifted from the accident scene to a hospital in Memphis, Tenn. We're told alcohol is not suspected as a factor in the wreck, news of which was first reported by MediaTakeout.

Freeman's condition is unknown, but state troopers tell us he was talking at the scene before he was taken to the hospital. The condition of an unidentified female passenger in the car also is unknown.

I was quite saddened by it as Morgan Freeman is one of my all-time favourite actors.. He's always been the low-profile type of actor. Solid actor, I always enjoy watching him in any movie. I hope he will be alright soon.

The restaurant is at Vivocity. We had to stay to do a bit of OT to rush for closing, and Irene suggested we go for dinner together, so we went walk walk around Vivo and decided on this restaurant!

After dinner, we went to Ben & Jerry's for ice cream! Because as wonderful as the ala carte menu was at Shin Kushiya, the dessert selection was kinda lacking..

Make me feel less guilty. Haha.

This is the sequel to the Money No Enough movie 10 years ago. Yes, 10 years ago! So long ago already!

It is a funny movie, yet at the same time, very touching. I cried like dunno what lor, until my eyes were swollen. T_T Even Deardear cried! Even the random guy sitting next to me was crying!

The story touches right to my heart, because everything portrayed inside was true! So true! I cried the hardest during 3 scenes...go watch the movie and let me know which part you cried at~

I give this movie four out of five apples!

And this 《钱不够用2》－ 请关掉电话 "Please off your mobile" commercial that was airing during the past few weeks is really hilarious!! I laughed like mad every time it showed. KEKE.
