Friday, I met Sis at the train at City Hall and we caught Transformers: Dark of the Moon @ Tampines on Friday 01 July.[Source]
Shia LaBeouf returns as Sam Witwicky in Transformers: Dark of the Moon. When a mysterious event from Earth's past erupts into the present day it threatens to bring a war to Earth so big that the Transformers alone will not be able to save us. [Source]
I really liked this movie. Very exciting and action packed! Even though we thought there were some parts that didn't add up and some unanswered questions, I really enjoyed it. I don't care much for Shia LaBeouf, I was just glad that there was Josh Duhamel. Gorgeous eye candy. =D
I was pleasantly surprised to see Patrick Dempsey! I had no idea he was in this film. What a yummy villain. =P
So, this is my new baby. $359. T_T *ouch*
Mr Toh was the one who suggested to buy one hor.... =P He was also the one who chose this model as he likes Sony's cameras. I must say, their cameras are really pretty~~
Model T110. I can use it for my KL trip~~ Weeee~!
We went to Funan IT Mall for shabu shabu again~! Before dinner, we checked out this camera at Song Brothers, it was selling for $339 only! But we decided to think first whether to buy or not. So we went for dinner first. We had decided to buy already but the shop was closed. T_T So I thought we can go Mustafa! As almost everything is cheaper there right? WRONG!
=( The camera was $359 there...with the same free stuff. *hais... Wrong judgement...but we still bought it there as I didn't want to waste the trip. But it's alright. $20 more means we have to cut down 1 trip to eat xiao long baos. =X
June 10 Friday
I took a day off for my wisdom tooth consultation @ KTPH with Dr Sylvia Tay. I had seen good reviews of her on Flowerpod for wisdom tooth surgery so, I am at least not *that* afraid.
I will be undergoing General Anesthesia for removing my 4 wisdom teeth + 4 pre molars.
Dr Tay only does surgeries on Tuesday and her earliest available date was 2nd August. I am hoping that there won't be any permanent side effects from my surgery.
Mr Toh usually gets off on Fridays but he has changed his off day for the week before my surgery to the day of my surgery. Meaning he won't be having any off days for the week before my surgery! And that means he'll have to work for 10 consecutive days before he gets off on 2nd August & again on 05 August to accompany me... *sigh* Felt so guilty... T_T Sorry deardear~
After that, we headed to the IT show to buy some stuff for Sis, she asked Mr Toh to help her upgrade her computer~June 12 Sunday
I cooked dinner! Not really a full meal...but I fried rice and fried some chicken. =D But my fried rice was kinda not successful but it wasn't a total failure either lah. Mr Toh had dinner at home before meeting the guys~ Even though he commented on some points I can improve on, he still ate 2 bowls of the fried rice! Love you deep deep!! He must have been very hungry, ahahahhahaa. =XJune 13 Monday
Mr Toh gave me a strand of his 鼻毛. LOL!! =XJune 16 Thursday
Met up with Piriya and Meiyan for dinner at AMK Hub~! Piriya and me reached first, then we had to wait for Meiyan, who was late, as usual. Some people never change! =X It really made me feel nostalgic though. I remember the times I used to have to wait for Meiyan back in secondary school. LOL!!
We had McD's, after that we just sat around chatting. We then went to Koi to buy milk tea (for me & Piriya) and Gong Cha (for Meiyan)~
The main point of meeting was to discuss a trip to KL to visit Sulehka who is currently working there~ Piriya is gonna be leaving Singapore for studies in June next year and most probably won't be coming back often. That was why she wanted to visit Sulehka before she leaves for Australia. =(
After his work, Mr Toh came down to join us and we continued chatting while he had his dinner. We only left at around 1am+... Goodness, I was like a living zombie the next day. T_T Getting old(er
) liao........... =(June 17 Friday
We had shabu shabu with Andrew & Shiyuan @ Shabu Shabu Akashabu, Funan IT Mall. Damn shiok I tell you! I loooove the shabu shabu there!
A future neighbour took a picture of our *almost* completed home!
So beautiful~~~June 18 Saturday
Helped Sis to do her computer today. We met Sis at Tampines and headed to Sim Lim Square quite early in the afternoon, after buying the rest of the stuff we needed, we headed back to her house to do the computer.
But ended up her old HDD was not compatible with the new motherboard! *faints* We had to go back to Sim Lim Square again! Luckily she had borrowed the car from Godpa, if not....really don't know what to do.
There was also some problems with some of the drivers, that's why it took the whole freaking day to finish. T_T
It was also Fathers' Day the next day. We decided to have a small gathering to celebrate. Nothing fancy, just ordered pizza and KFC~~June 21 Tuesday
DIY-ed my nails!
Newspaper print style. =DJune 24 Friday
Met up with Meiyan and Junyi (secondary school friend) after work for movies and dinner~!
Meiyan brought us to Sumo House @ Ang Mo Kio Central for cheap and good Jap food! The food was quite alright, I considered it good value for the prices we paid.
We caught the Green Lantern~[Source]
| || In a universe as vast as it is mysterious, a small but powerful force has existed for centuries. Protectors of peace and justice, they are called the Green Lantern Corps. A brotherhood of warriors sworn to keep intergalactic order, each Green Lantern wears a ring that grants him superpowers. But when a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of power in the Universe, their fate and the fate of Earth lie in the hands of their newest recruit, the first human ever selected: Hal Jordan. |
Hal is a gifted and cocky test pilot, but the Green Lanterns have little respect for humans, who have never harnessed the infinite powers of the ring before. But Hal is clearly the missing piece to the puzzle, and along with his determination and willpower, he has one thing no member of the Corps has ever had: humanity. With the encouragement of fellow pilot and childhood sweetheart Carol Ferris (Blake Lively), if Hal can quickly master his new powers and find the courage to overcome his fears, he may prove to be not only the key to defeating Parallax... he will become the greatest Green Lantern of all. [Source]
The movie was OK...not a very good one IMO. The Green Lantern definitely won't be on my Favourite Superheroes List, that's for sure, even though Ryan Reynolds is sooo hot~ But I thought the moral of the story was good, at least what I think it is lah.
"With willpower, you can overcome fear."
Very comic book hero stuff. =X
